Thanks Guys!,

Pretty simple really..
This is the new B.E base with blades Chicken Tikka and my Madras recipe (no lemon)
I added water to the base about 30% also I have revised my madras recipe.

UB,

looks my kind of curry too. like the idea of adding the 30% water. i'm on the last of my BE base batch tonight and was intending doing same.

where did your spice mix come from (8,7,5,4,4) - i note paprika is on the end of which would otherwise be BE's mix but the post date indicates u were there prior to the BE base post.

Yep i think you found it in another post - B.E spice mix did have paprika as optional i have has always used it manly for the colour really also I'm using kasmiri mirch at the moment too.

did try the 30% water and also used the burner of my gas bbq (it?s rectangular so not ideal)

unfortunately have to say the taste was no different to the electric hob. certainly easier and quicker for sure.

i used a selection of spice mixes inc the BE with paprika - all very nice madras curry sauces including UB's but not quite there c/w BIR.

Looks great UB! Now I'm hungry but for once have no base left  :( (just moved house)

On the plus side, now I get to think about what to try next! ;D
