Hi from Snowtop

Greetings from UK,South Yorkshire, Barnsley. Just found this site and it looks like the place for me? I have a problem in reading the recipes. I keep seeing a ? in the ingredients e.g.: ? pint of oil. On reading a little feather into the post it will say half a pint of oil.The thing is do I take the ? to mean 1/2 or is there anyway to get the text to show 1/2 (Hope this makes sense)?
Thanks Snowtop
