Friday night curry 8/3/19
« on: March 09, 2019, 08:23 AM »
This weeks Friday night curry was Westys Madras that was recently posted.
Pretty similar to my own Madras with the addition of curry powder and tandoori powder.
Also I used pre-cooked chicken
Have to say it was very tasty, a lovely take on the Madras.

Looks good MA
A few little tweaks and additions, doesnt change the core of an original recipe
This would be just as good without, Tandoori masala, sugar, fenugreek powder etc...
and would be a more authentic BIR Madras.

A good curry and chips supper regardless ;) ;D

cheers Chewy

Looks superb. The pre-cooked chicken looks good enough to have as it is. What method is used there?

It is quite a simple recipe,
chicken cut into strips,
squirt lemon juice, leave for about 15 mins, add tspoon g/g, ts turmeric and ts paprika, mix and coat chicken
Heat griddle pan
Dust chicken lightly with flour
Fry
Simple but tasty

Cheers MA,

I'll give this method a go next time I make a curry.
