Jihl Nil Jhinga recipe sought
« on: April 10, 2016, 09:01 AM »
We had this at the excellent Anupam restaurant in Malvern and I've Googled without success to find a recipe and think that it might be their own creation.

But thought I'd post here on the off-chance.

Is there a clue in the name?  Jhinga is prawn (I think) but I'm not sure what the translation of the whole name means.

Jhinga is indeed prawn, but I am not at all certain what the other words translate as.  Anupam themselves say :
Quote
JHIL NIL JHINGA

Google translator from Hindi - English gives 'jhil' as 'lake'. Not that that is much help :)

Anyway, welcome to the forum.
