Picking a couple of unripe chillies can stress the plant and cause it too ripen the other chillies quicker.
What chillies are you growing madpower? and where are you growing them?

hi madrasandy,i start them off inside and then once the plants have a few leaves i move them to the greenhouse, which was towards the end of march last year, the plants always seem to look healthy but like i said the chilli's always shrivel up and die but the plant still look healthy, last year i tried jalapenos, puya and serrano, this year i am trying cascabel and jalapenos again,i have been known to pick a chilli of the plants before they are ready,i will not do that again, also my greenhouse does not have a heater,do you think i need one?

Are you feeding while fruiting?
Are they getting enough sun?
Make sure they havent got aphids or other nasties, and dont overwater.

To be honest it sounds like your plants are just dieing, maybe from been too cold.

I wouldnt have thought the chillies would shrivel up on a healthy plant.

Now 8 - a late sprouter - no sign of the other 2 germinating - 80% taking though isn't bad.

Have potted 7x on into clear plastic cups with poly bag fastened around tops to keep moisture in

2 of the 7 good sprouters now showing secondary leaf growth - not bad when you consider no heated propagator in use - just in warm utility room by the window.
