Sometimes frozen seeds germ sometimes they don't , it's a bit hit and miss.

I'm willing to believe that frozen seed can germinate (it is recommended for some particular difficult specimens), but I am less sure that one can successfully freeze the entire seed pod (chilli) and still hope for the seed to remain viable.  But of course I may be wrong, so I wish you luck and look forward to future progress reports.

No go Phil.  Not a sign of germination.  Must have been F1 / hybrid type.

Have ordered from web nursery Apache plants which look to have similar fruit.

UPDATE - a few plants hardening off nicely and have spent a couple of nights out with minimal wilting
, still a few more to get out and potted up yet.

cooooorrrrrr  they look really great - I live in Scotland and have never been able to grow them even in my (unheated) lean to greenhouse.
Lets see the results.

After a difficult month of June, where the night temps went down to 0c and not much higher than 7c, and the day temps struggling to get above 12c most of my plants struggled, some never recovered.
Growth was severley stunted, and all lost their flowers, but they are picking up now, not as big I as hoped but getting a lot of flowers setting now and a fair few pods.
