Thanks, All good fun, hopefully the weather will improve this month
for some good Tandoori parties.

Running Costs - 4 quid of lumpwood per afternoon session.
What I found amazing, was the length of time the clay pot retained its heat
It takes more than 24 hrs to cool down.

Anyhoo, just fired it up for todays session. Happy Days. ;D ;D

Well I had a epic bir day yesterday and as for 'boys and their toys', too right. A million times better fun than than standing with an inverted tawa over a gas ring or in front of a grill. As the coals were hot for ages we were looking for other stuff to put on.

Tandoori Baked Spuds (well whats left of them  :P  ::))



and some chicken drumsticks (quick marinade but still tasty)



Even tried an aubergine.

Most impressive was Chewy hand slapping the naans on bare handed with no naan cushioin.

Of course we finished of the day with a curry, it would be rude not to.  :) :)

Had a couple of hours off to cook some chicken for later -

30ish to 40 minutes in the Tandor.
