Greetings from the North East

Just joined and posted my first recipe request (Loknai Gosht) which is a bit of a mystery, so I'd better say "Hi" to everyone.
I'm a southern softie living in the North East and loving it. Although the Asian restaurants are still quite traditional, menu wise, there are quite a few new styles slowly creeping in. If anyone up this way knows of any 'more unusual' menus around the Durham/Sunderland area, I'd be grateful.
I've been cooking my own 'curries' from scratch for a good 25 years now and always like trying out new regional recipes, so I could well be on here regularly from now on.
See you all soon.

Welcome, Lakram.
I have never come across that one, but I'm sure that someone on here will be able to shed some light on it.
Good to have you on board and look forward to hearing more from you
