hi all

i'm glad i found this great site, helped me no end after moving to Australia from Uk have been
very disappointed with some of the local indian restaurants.
have managed to make a good batch of base sauce consisting of
onions
garlic
tomatoes
small piece ginger
bay leaves
spice mix(Pat Chapmans with my twist )

makes a great base sauce if cooked long enough and pureed

the wife likes a vindaloo or madras adding chilli powder  and a few others as needed and a touch of
coconut cream for the ceylon touch.

i finally found a good recipe for Naan bread(no yeast version)
450 of plain flour
150ml of milk
150ml of yoghurt
tsp of baking powder
tsp of salt
2 tsp of sugar
1 egg(optional)
mix all together and the secret is to leave for a few hours at least
and i find get the bbq nice and hot placing the naan on flipping every now and then
until they puff up-tast great no yeast flavour even stuff them with cheese and mushroom with a touch of garlic
