Topic: Which base please???

I don't give my seal of approval to anything as i'm not sure how valued it is.  But i will suggest certain options based on forum popularity and positive comments.
Forget the Darthphall base, there are now many better in terms of versatility - which is really the name of the game.
The Saffron was an early base introduced to the site.  There are more modern bases on the site.
The Taz base requires a totally different cooking method to what is very common place in TA's and BIR's.  However, this is heavily supplemented by recipes tailored to the base and method by Stephen Lindsey.  If you feel tempted to use it, there is loads of supporting info available.  This is vital and SL is always available to help and advise.  It delivers superb results.  This can be seen from many of SL's posts and subsequent forum member comments.
The Mouchak is underated.  This base bares so many similarities to the practices of many TA's and BIR's.
You should look at Chewy Tikkas 3 hour base, the Zaal base, the Little India base etc. etc. The list is endless
The best advise i can give is read the section of the forum on bases.  Read the reports from members.  Decide for yourself before you move from your current base.  All these bases will deliver excellent results in the right hands, just slightly different,.
