Hello to everyone,
I found this forum while looking for new curry recipes on the inter web.
I have been loving and cooking curries for 30 yrs and I have at least 4 favorite currys in the freezer at all times.
I myself have never had a BIR curry as I was very young when I left England with my family, so I'm going to have to make my own.
I live in Western Australia and I have been cooking my curries completely different to the BIR method used on this forum. You can say I cook a more authentic way following recipes from cook books.
There are NO Indian restaurants here that produce any thing close to a BIR curry, I have English friends that are always looking for a great British curry and the search continues.
After looking around the forum I am a little confused on how to prepare a BIR curry, especially the pre cooked meat and the combining of the base/gravy.
Could someone advise me on how to prepare a curry base and meat the BIR way, and then combining the two.
I'm particularly interested in a beef vindaloo.
Thanks everyone and I'm looking forward to finding some great new curry recipes.
Cheers
Kevvy
