I live in the NE and used to the two part RJ. I am sure my local must use a paste in the second part as have tried CT topping and it is not hitting the same taste

H4ppy
Yes, the Nihari is full bodied and flavoured.
Probably not for everyone, with it's strong Indian flavours, but I enjoy it.

Hi RD
LOL  ;D ;D You must of been watching another video  ;D ;D
3 skinned and chopped tomatoes ;)

Barry
Just add plenty of Tomato puree and more Garabi,
I prefer restaurant style, with fresh tomatoes, usually flash fried cherry or plum with white sugar.

cheers ChewyTikka

Reply 19 Page 2.  Link to the video. There is no written recipe as far as I am aware.  ;)

Hang on, I'm a tad confused here.  :o

RD cooks CT's RJ recipe twice and says he didnt like the tomato topping.
He then mentions to CT that he didnt see the tomato in the video?? (presumably RD meant Nihari video?)
But then CT pastes two pics from the RJ video and RD apologises for missing the video?  :o Ehh?  ;D

And CT was set the task of cooking one of his own dishes?  ???

p.s. re RJ.
I made mince n totties last week to the recipe of Harpal Singh's Rogan Josh, but using a portion of gravy instead of water. It was delicious!! Really good spicing with the whole GM and powdered spices.  ;)

Not quite right  ;) as follows.

RD is set CT's 2 pan RJ.
RD cooks it twice but being a twot leaves out the tomato from the second pan ( remember there is no written recipe , I was just referred to the video put on by CT for this purpose and jotted down the instructions obviously minus tomatoes.
RD then feeds back that he loves the first pan but was left cold by the second pan.
RD accepts he is a plonker - job done.

Yes - RD set CT his own Nihari to cook. I did this because I fancied it but could not find the recipe.

The screen shots above are from the RJ video not a nihari one.

Are you keeping up with this ........................?   :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D    ;)

I have had enough of two pan jobs for a while.

There is a joke there somewhere. Something about a guy with a slight speech impediment going to buy a horse? Don't ask me to repeat it if you haven't heard it but it did involve lifting the tail a bit.  ;)
