I used split red lentils as I had them in already. Will be getting some more when I do the shopping

Gotta say, and i'm no lentil person, but Colin's recipe is top notch.  The only danger is whether there'll be enough lentils left to add to the dhansak    The main problem being, trying to avoid the temptation to dip into the dhall before it gets added to the dhansak  ;D ;D
