For me, the handle length doesn't matter so much because all my hobs are flat, but I was glad to see that it has an insulated handle, and (for me) the most important aspect was that the sides and base curved into each other : there was not that horrible 75o angle between sides and base that some pans have, and which makes any sort of stir-frying in them virtually impossible.
