Hurray, I have found Asian Bay Leaves in my local shop! As you may see there is a whopping amount of them, if anyone would like some posted, send me your address via PM. It would take me far too long to use these up, do get in touch if you would like some

There is an obvious difference in size, the fragrance has a more pronounced note of clove, well to my olfactory nerve anyway!

I only found out about them when  reading a thread on the site early last year.  Until i went looking i always bought the non asian variety from my asian grocers    Glad you found them Terramamba.  They are so totally different to their European counterpart.  They smell divine and add a distinct flavour.  Perfect in pilau rice .  I'm sure you'll soon work your way through the bag.  It's surprising how quickly they disappear
