Yes Pete much less Oil & my local Take-away Curries have a more Golden Oil (this i assume from it not being cooked several times, which collaborates my experiments with double cooking the Oil etc...).
This is another reason why i rate then ,great taste & reasonably healthy ;D.
Having done some more testing it is more of the smell of the Curry i`m trying to capture, the flavor is all but correct (SEE 99.9% post).
This is why (& i`ve mentioned this many times before) it is difficult to achieve the correct results as there is variation in flavor,smell,texture & ingredients from BIR to BIR ).This i have witnessed in many Take-away`s within a 50 mile radius even down here in Cornwall.
