Well done MA.  Glad someone has now done the cook and used it. I may get to it today as we are entering a 4 day heatwave so outdoors will be off. The base and the Madras look tasty. I see you omitted the cheese. ;D

Er yes  I did, he clearly states 1 cup ( 1 cup = 250ml) , I messaged him to avoid confusion and he said yes 1 cup 250ml.

Well, if we are being accurate, no you didn't. What he says and what he actually adds are two different things. I'm going by what he adds in the video, not by what he says he adds. He also over or underestimates the other ingredients such as the spices, garlic, ginger etc.  If you don't believe me get yourself one of those balti bowls and pour 250mL of water in it and see where it comes to ... it won't be anywhere near to the brim as his are. He may be able to cook curries but he can't estimate quantities for toffee.

My small Balti bowl is 300 ml to the brim. 1 cup (250 ml) is as he shows in the video but mine is stainless steel and not identical. It looks to be the same size though unless he has monster hands. 

I do agree that his garlic and ginger estimates of 1 tsp are closer to 1 TBSP. It is possible to lift that much out of a jar with a teaspoon.
