I'm finding it almost impossible to get the Patak's Tandoori paste these days. All the shops seem to stock the Tandoori spice marinade and it's just not the same. Anyone else finding this?

Cheers London and Fried. That 20ml was a typo, I used the 200ml. I knocked up a quick madras with some chicken tikka and the other half was well impressed. I let the base cook until the oil started to pool on the surface, took it as a sign from the curry gods all would be well.
Thanks for the help!

Trying out chewytikka's 3hr base last night. Let it sit overnight and then blended it this afternoon only to realise I didn't put any oil in. So... I've put in 20 ml of veg oil, blended it again with a stick blender and am busy giving it another simmer.

What are the chances that the base will yield a good curry?
Cheers in advance

How many servings from this recipe please? Im trying to scale it up for 6 people but i know that it isnt as simple as multiplying the ingredients by 6. Any help would be appreciated.

mmmmmm this sounds absolutely the BUSINESS!!! i have the chicken marinating in the fridge atm, it should have had its 24 hours by tomorrow night when it will be time for CURRY FRENZY! CT and chicken dupiaza with pilau rice, tarka dhal, peshwari nan and popadoms with pickle. B*lls to queueing 5 deep at the bar and dodging flying fists and vomit, this is the way to see in the New Year!
