Hi,

I'm new to the site and just wondered whether the

"Good quality medium curry powder or paste (or spice mix)
Good quality tandoori masala or paste
Good quality garam masala"

Can be created from scratch from individual spices? I'd love to cook from scratch and the idea of buying 'curry powder' etc seems....like cheating??

Well...just found this site and thought I'd say hi!  ;D

I've joined as we've started to grow our own chillies and I like to cook so would LOVE to find some different curry recipes which we could cook from scratch using only individual spices rather than generic 'curry mixes'.

I can only really cook one curry myself, which is one I made up from the spices I have...and it's not very special at all  :-[

So.....any suggestions on recipes on the site would be very welcome! (I'm vegetarian but could adapt meat dishes I suppose?)
