Thank you for this, I have been looking for an aloo tikki recipe and was chuffed to bits to find this.

Just Joined? Introduce Yourself / Hello All!

I just joined a few days back, recommended by a friend in the UK. I am shy about posting, as I feel like a total noob, but we all have to start somewhere!
Living in S. Spain, not a UK transplant though. It's been hard to find "exotic" ingredients until the first Asian grocery opened in my city about 8 yrs ago. I started with commercial Thai curry paste and have slowly progressed to curry cookbooks and websites.
I really got started by cooking some recipes from the "Indian Food Rocks" blog. I have a tendency to just jump straight in, so of course I started with Manisha's solar-powered lemon and lime pickle! Her recipes are simple and they work, which is always good.
Hoping to make a trip down to the Costa del Sol, a friend there says there's a new Indian grocery across from where he lives. Hoping to find Indian bayleaf, hing etc.
Well...this post reads like nonsense but I wanted to say hello.

My reason? I just got here, recommended by a friend...what a huge and fantastic resource...but it is a bit intimidating!!
But I can't help chipping in sometimes, hence this reply.
