Cooking Methods / ghee and oil

i saw my local Indian using a small amount of oil and some ghee to cook the currys has anybody seen this before?  the other Indians i go to only use oil and all of the bir e books and tutorials only use oil maybe somthing to consider as the curry was awesome.

Spices / use of salt in currys

I don't use salt in any of the currys i have cooked, i dont like the taste and i can taste it more than other people. My currys don't seem to me to be any different and other love them. Is there anybody else who uses less or no salt?  What do you thing of this?

Just Joined? Introduce Yourself / away for a while from curry

I haven't cooked A good curry for a while may be six months but now im back on it armed with not just the curry to go e book or the curry house website, i have got a whole load of new and good e book to get to grips with. im going to create my own base source and combine and tweak different recipes to may them perfect for me eg i like pineapple in dansak some people think this is odd but i love it watch this space.

i bought one one of these a while back it was rubbish it ruined my knifes, left them very sharp but all jagged and chipped think ive put it in the bin. think ive been ripped of

Where can i buy a good aluminum pan from online. Curry to go looks good but a little expensive. the one i have from my local world foods shop is a little small i want one bigger say 22cms maybe. not inches lol

After trying all of the local Indians in neath Seema is the best and not just by a bit. It is miles ahead of the rest, i would say the best ive had in years. and luck would have it, it is at the end of my street. im slowly going through all of the currys on the menu and some that are not. I cant fault anything here. 20 out of 10 for them. i would recommend the chicken balti mmmm.

I am definitely going to try this one out, watched the recipe on you tube and loved the way the onions are cooked three times with water this must add loads of taste. i will use chicken off the bone.
