Had a stab at this tonight, scores on the doors were 7, 8, 8 and 7 out of 10. Probably used more oil than CT and mine looked wetter in the early stages, and possibly had too little base gravy added later on. BUT, all told it was really tasty, keeping 4 people happy is always hard and it's a curry I will now do on a regular basis. Thanks again CT, I'd still like to know what you put in at 6mins mind.

Great vid again CT, thanks for posting. Can I ask what ingredient you put in at 5.57 please? Also how much garam masala as well please? This is on the Friday night list.

Cheers

I've made enough for 10 naan, so I'll probably freeze half the dough (post oil) make 5 naan and then freeze one of them just to see what it's like defrosted.

Thanks very much gents, I found (by chance) that a small cheap fry pan is spot on (sticky) for this method whereas our 'good' non stick fry pan, well, it's non stick.

Best to make the naans complete, then freeze. They defrost on a warm plate in ten mins and if you need them warm just grill for thirty  secs

Thank you!

Have done this recipe twice now, and as a relative novice I/we have been delighted with the quality of the end product, so thanks for the video and for all the comments thereafter!

One thing though, freezing? Would it be best to freeze the dough after it has been kneaded/punched with the oil prior to the overnight in the fridge, or do the overnight thing, then freeze, orrrrr make up the dough balls then freeze?

What's the general consensus on this please?

Dansak / Re: CA's Chicken Dhansak

I used this recipe as my first attempt at a Dhansak last night, it came out really well. I never used spiced oil and was possibly a tad light on the chilli but all told it was a really tasty dish. Thanks for posting the recipe!

Tandoori and Tikka / Re: Chewy's Chicken Tikka 2012

Worked out nice for me last weekend this recipe, thanks Chewy.

I didn't use Ghee for the constant coating that you do, but it was still really nice.

Had a dabble with the original recipe here last weekend. Very nice, the kids enjoyed it as did Mrs BB however the colour wasn't right, more reddish brown than proper 'red'... it was a nice curry but not quite a CTM, down to my inexperience rather than the recipe. Thanks for posting the recipe CK.

Rogan Josh / Re: Rogan Josh by Razor

My first attempt at this tonight, albeit a veg version, done for Mrs BB and the 2 kids, in conjunction with Chewy's Chicken madras.

Mrs BB well impressed, plenty of heat but she suggested putting the toms in later and adding a bit more cauliflower.. all told she gave it a 7/10 (in t/away terms) so all is good.

What was good is that there was a noticeable difference in the sauces of the 2 dishes. Now to you lot this sounds mundane but when I've been invited to 'curry nights' at mates' houses, it's basically all tasted the same, so it was a massive confidence boost to see the difference even though I used Chewy's gravy for both.

So, thanks to Razor for the recipe, pics and the like, well happy with the result.
