Hi just thought id give my opinion on birmingham curry houses as im from there
The so called balti tiangle has always disapointed me, sometimes i feel they are knocking so many dishes out each night the quality suffers.
my current favourite is the Rajnagar in yardley, bit pricier than average but excellent food.
most of the curry houses are a much of a muchness. i know one owner and his chef has trained quite a few of the cooks throughout parts of brum so they are all knocking out the same recipes, which are simplistic in taste in my opinion.
my trips to india have probably made my expections too high as the food there was for the most part class, the grubbiest restruants were the best
