Title: Last Nights Tea
Post by: Gav Iscon on March 15, 2015, 11:52 AM
Decisions, decisions for last night as I was home alone so I finally decided to have an attempt at Chewy's Murgh Sagwalla he did.

Basically just following what he posted and I made it with some chicken leg meat I had in the freezer. Slightly lacking in the heat department because as per usual (its usually salt) I forgot to add my chopped up chilis on the bench so knocked up a madras with them in for today.  :-\  Anyway, very happy with the result.

Boom!! Looks the biz mate, should have just added the chillies anyway  ;)

Looks excellent, Gav! I'm with MA - I would just have chucked the chillies on anyway lol!

I'm sitting down to a plate of home-made French onion soup and a ham and tomato sandwich for lunch. It's very nice, but I'm fair salivating at your curry while I'm eating! Life can be so unfair! :)

I'd scoffed it by then hence the inclusion in the madras   :-\

Well, my luck is right out the window! :)

Misread your post mate - you were talking about the chillies, right? Still looks good to me, even without them. :)

Nope was talking about the curry. I found the chilis afterwards. Heres the madras I'm having for lunch with the chilis in of course.  :)

I'm using Chewy's base at the minute but the mix powder at the minute is from a local restaurant for which the owner keeps giving me a bag every time I'm there which his wife grinds at home.

Now that is interesting  :)  Nice to see some more good food being posted.  That is what this forum is all about.  Sadly, its cottage pie for me today which has languished in the fridge for a couple of days.  I certaily am not going to waste it, but it is a far cry from one of those little beauties.  Dinner already sorted for tomorrow, so maybe curry on Tuesday  :P ;D

Nowt wrong with cottage pie. One of my all time favourite meals from when i was a kid is simply Mince, tatties and peas (frozen type).  :P :P

Eh, no.  But it may take the pain away if consumed in large quantities  ;D

And as for meat and tatties and peas - NO.  It just has to be in cottage pie format for me i'm afraid  :) Just cannot do boiled spuds  ::)

Thank you all for the kind comments everyone. The madras was probably the best I've made. To bad the missus didn't get any so I better keep that bit quiet.  ::)

I had left over lamb madras, chicken madras...

Did you notice any difference in the madras sauces between the lamb and chicken versions?
