Title: Tandoori Chicken , onion bhaji and poppodoms for tea
Post by: Madrasandy on January 25, 2015, 09:37 PM
Had a little bit of this and that for tea tonight, Onion Bhajis, Pan fried Tandoori Chicken pieces, poppodoms, yoghurt mint sauce, onion salad and mango chutney.

Made the tandoori chicken using laziza tandoori paste, first time Ive tried this paste, have to say I will never use Pataks Tandoori again, this is far superior. Used it with blades recipe.

It was Gav, made a very nice change from making curry. The chicken was spot on , pan fried on high heat, lovely smell around the kitchen and just even charred parts to create amazing flavours. The Bhajis were great too, have been cooked better, I find its all in the oil temp and the batter consistency, get those wrong and any number of problems can happen.

I couldn't go back to deep frying old style with no thermostat/ temperature dial.

Never seen Lazziza pastes on my travels either :-\

Nice plate of food MA,
Looks like Normal Tikka, a bit spooky all the same as I had the same meal last night for dinner.
Probably the Wee racists carbon Bhaji attempt spurred on others to cook.

Onion Bhaji and Tandoori Chicken Fillet, lush. ;)

Back on curry tonight though with a Lamb Roshun
cheers Chewy

Looks the business, MA. A nice wee selection of flavours and textures to see off the hunger pangs. :)

Thnaks for the kind offer MM, but I now have an excuse to search every asian shop that I come across. I've got a mate who lives in Brum so when I next visit him I'll pick some up.

London.
