Apart from curry, I also enjoy cooking pizza
I had never had a perfect result and got a bit fed up
I researched a bit and finally bought this

You can make brilliant pizzas
They are so good
I'm not sure if it's a bit overpriced, but I am really happy with the results
The pizza base is amazing and the top is all melted, browned and gooey
Fantastic

Before I got this I tried a Marks And Spencers equivalent model
It was cheaper but underpowered
It was so bad that I took it back

My only problem is locating Italian 00 flour
That's what you need, to make exact pizza clones
Noone seems to sell it in a reasonably small quantity
I don't really want 25KG of the stuff
I reckon the flour might go off before I use it all

I've been angling to get one of these for a few weeks. There are some good recipe ideas for Dominos style tomato sauce but they revolve around Hunt's Angela−Mia pizza sauce which I havent ever seen in the UK.

Anyway, great to hear a good review from someone who has tried one. I'll have to step up my pestering!

Haldi,

Italian 00 flours really only shine at very high temperatures. i.e. 800 degrees and higher.

How hot does the pizza cooker device get?

Authentic neapolitan style pizzas cook in about a minute at very high heat. How quickly does one cook in this device?

Five minutes to preheat the cooker, then five minutes to cook the pizza
So I guess it's not as hot as it could be
But it is really hot never the less
When you lift the top of the Pizza Maker,loads of superheated steam comes out
You've got to be very carefull and still wear oven gloves

I've not tried it, but I reckon it would
The ceramic Pizza Stone ,on the base, heats up
Then you've got additional heat from above

I got round to trying this
It doesn't work very well
The bottom tends to crisp too much
It was certainly worth a go though
Everything is edible, but they really aren't much like a naan

Hi Haldi

The stuff you want is 'McDougalls Premium Supreme Sauce and Pastry'. Tesco stock it so it must be in the other supermarkets as well. It's in a sort of maroon packet with a blue banner round it, done my best to find a picture but can't seem to get hold of one. Hope this helps.

Try contacting Dovefarm for your nearest stockist, they supply it to many smaller shops.
