Lets Talk Curry / Re: Curry2go Onion Sauce
September 09, 2012, 08:47 PM
Now that I have seen it referred to as "pre-cooked onion and green pepper" I do actually recall making this a few years back and yes it was from Micks ebook.
My recollection back then was that I was not to grips with the base gravy and my curry skills were none existent at that time. (Not to say I'm an expert now but I'm working on it)
As pointed out, the same thing but a diffrent name. Time to give it another try I think!

Madras / Re: Madras Sauce Video Recipe

Chewy I have to say that today I've gone and joined your Madras appreciation society.

I did not have any chicken etc at the time so it was more of an excuse to knock up a sauce with my chips and I'm so glad I did, I used ordinary chilli as the Kashmiri is a bit illusive at the minute unless I buy a massive bag for

I also have considered making this and like you wondered of how to put it to good use.
Do you think this could be frozen Jerry as this is what has put it on hold for me.
A Friend of mine insists onions turn bad in some manor when frozen but I'm not convinced...
Maybe I'll make that question my google mission for this sunday morning being the sad git I am. :'(  ;)

Obviously one for an up market establishment Phil  :).  Before the comments start maybe the critics should try it first eh?? ::)
I was actually referring to what a concise and well put together posting.
Unfortunately this is out of my league at the minute but like many of the recipes on here it is one that I would like to get around to at some point.
I'm sure some of the more experienced people will be able to give criticism to the recipe constructive or not!

No matter what I could say about this post Phil would be an understatement.
You certainly have delivered the goods.

Thanks Phil,
I unfortunately thought I had it cracked for a minute. Either I was reading it wrong or they have got it wrong.
I got my information from this place...

I have read that another name for Kashmiri chili powder is Degi Mirch.
Could someone please confirm this for me please as if this is the case then it has been staring me in the face for ages. :-\

Dare I ask if this is some form of forum Bank Holiday Riot? :D
(Calm down lads, it is a joke... I'm off to the mindless division I suspect, and actually couldn't care less)
