Cheers chewy brought some of that powder yesterday will be giving it ago tonight with the left overs from yesterdays curry cooking
By the way on the packet I brought where it says premium quality there is a 2010 superior taste award

By coincidence I also cooked curryhells brinjal bhaji last night
with saag aloo , mushroom bhaji and a CTM influenced by the little India videos from CBM
I also made up a Keema with pea with a big dollop of Priya ginger pickle ( recommended by chewy ) a great addition to the curry cuboard
All dishes I was very pleased with with all credit going to the people on this forum  ;)
Just to add went to Tooting and brought MDH kashmiri mirch 99p Shan powders are 2 for ? 1.20 and the Priya Pickle was ? 1.79

Very nice indeed
Must admit I don't really measure so I only used  a few table spoons of yogurt and added some chilli pwd
so mine turned out better than yours  ;D
Seriously it was nice to try a recipe with out using the brought pastes
IT was in a tandoor and finished off with a squeeze of lemon and sprinkling of coriander

Thank you fellows for your input
So would we say a chef leaving his curry for a few Min's with out stirring is

1   Reduction
2   for Roasting  effect
3   or busy doing other things  :)
