Anyone fancy a curry

Good one Chewy
Personally I love a chicken carcase to add to my gravey
I work on the basis other cuisines work at getting good stock or they wont get a good sauce
or a descent risotto
In my opinion  :)

Don't want to make a big thing about this but well said Aussie Mick totally agree  what you said and having the balls to say it.
And Phil hands up for apologising
Sometimes if its not positive then best not to answer at all
Since being on this site my curries have improved so much with the help from this forum
So lets be positive with some fun
We are all in the same boat here or curry house  :)

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Tandoori ovens in winter
September 02, 2012, 09:32 AM
my tandoor is also in the shed and gets used all year round and worth every penny
mine takes 6 skewers which I received with the tandoor
my advise would be to buy another set , so when your first batch is cooked you have another set to go in
on busy occasions
Also a good point is just use it like a BBQ doesnt have to be tandoori
I put all types of marinaded food in it.
You wont regret it  :)

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Sorry another cookbook

Couldn't agree more Phil
It did have good reviews and was abit of a gamble at 20 quid
I always say if i find 1 recipe or an  idea that works then the books  was worth the purchase ( have to wait and see on that one  ;) )
The tandoori stuff looks good when it starts to mention about 2 marination's and basting before putting back in to the tandoor . I started to treat it more seriously

Lets Talk Curry / Sorry another cookbook
August 30, 2012, 06:09 PM
Just been on holiday for a couple of weeks and took the cookbook
India by Pushpesh Pant
Not BIR but the recipes come from all regions of India and well worth a read
The book boasts of 1000 recipes
It covers spice mixes and pastes pickles chutneys Raitas snacks , appetizers ,mains ,pulses, breads, rice
In my opinion well worth a place on the side board with the other 20 odd curry books  ;D

 Looks amazing
And welldone in also enjoying the meal so often when having curry guests over
we end up cooking all day and its hard to  appreciate what you've achieved
A good idea to start a couple of days earlier   ;)
