It has always been through the second stage like Layne's chicken tikka.
Hi Cantgetitright
AS I've stated in a earlier thread I have tried cooking Tikka for many years without success of obtaining "The Taste" But My recipe which is here https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=1199.0 is without doubt the best I have tasted it HAS got "The Taste" so my quest for replicating this dish is complete Job Done.
While we are on the subject CK could you Please tell me why hasn't this recipe been placed in the appropriate thread for authentic recipes ?

Nice one CP,
I shall try this mix with a few boiled potatoes as in "Bombay Aloo" I'll heat a little oil in the Wok then add 1-2 Tsp of the mix Stir frying the Spuds for a few mins this should be a nice side dish to scoff with my Curry :P I'll report back with my findings only thing I haven't got is Kalonji so off to see Abdul I must go 8)

Hi Geoff
Welcome to Cr0 from a fellow Taff there are many bases on this site you can choose from but as Ck has already said try and keep it as simple as possible "Darths" Base is very popular but your better off trying a few then decide  which you prefer anyway let us know how you get on.

Oooooh CP Now that would be a treat :o

Tell em there's about 600 members of Cr0 willing to send em some onions as a good will gesture plus they would qualify for a free lifetime membership to the "Darkside" personally endorsed by the Mighty Darth Lord himself Phew I think I'll buy a BIR myself ;D

Hmm CP
Why don't you use the Darklords approach you could start of being very "Anal" then if that doesn't work whip out the old lightsaber and chop em in half then feed their kids to the Sharks at Needles point thus eliminating your competion at the same time good eh  :P

Cloudiness doesnt matter so much if you are making a sauce with say bruri mani ( or whatever the spelling is) style? a technique where you melt butter and add flour to make a thickening agent. A technique that the "old" masters used which isnt so popular anymore  ???.. but sure works well.
Ashes

Yikes Beurre mani? :D this thread is getting better and better Yes you are quite right Ashes it's a popular thickening procedure for soups stews and sauces consisting of 2 parts soft butter and 1 of flour mixed together to make a kind of dough but you could use cornflour or better still Arrowroot.
Layne :)
