Pictures of Your Curries / Re: Samosas

They do look the business Padmore but I must admit at that image size it does remind me of being amongst the Pyramid's...
Try a pixel size of around 450x450 and I don't know if you used it but the CRO image hosting site is your best bet...

I may be wrong on the pixel size but it seems to work for me.
Anyway, a very commendable Samosa City! ;D

Class act Axe,
I used to do security In the Astoria years ago and Bruce was promoting his solo album.
Unbeknown to the crowd was that Iron Maiden was secretly back stage for the finale.
I was put on back stage door which gave me the hump as I obviously wanted to be front house, I've never felt such a plank as when Ian Gillan turned up without a pass and I had to knock on Iron Maidens door to ask if it was alright if he could come in.
I did half get some verbal.
It didn't help that I was also instructed to tell them to"Drink up Now" at then closing party! :-\

Where have all the years gone?

Always thought this was Lou Reed untill I saw them on Top of the pops2 tonight.
I was 14 at the time and no doubt boogieing on down to this!
A proper blast from the past...

Yes, I knew this would be debatable fodder.
I think it was meant as a generalisation for confusing the likes of people like me! ;D

Got to say that chicken looks 100% better than at the privite nursery where my other half is the cook...
The fridge door was accidently left open over night and there was  4kilo of chicken in it, due to health and safety she had to bin it.
I was going mad when she informed me on the phone screaming to her to get it around to me fast.
When it arrived it was like mince and I had to pressure cook it in an attempt to get rid of the amount of fat on it.

Obviously I curried it but it ended up looking like cat food!

Thanks very much Rich, I was a bit dubiuos about mentioning it. :-\

They interviewed a lady from this shop and she said spices fell into four catogories, unfortuanately being the numbskull I am I only remember two, bitter and hot. I should have been taking more notice!
This is a link to her shop...

Got it...hot, sweet, bitter and sour!

Don't know if anyone has seen it and I should imagine many wouldn't even want to bother, but for me I thoroughly enjoyed watching his programs this morning.

I think they was initially on CH4 but this morning was on a freeview channel called 4seven?

Putting aside the recipes it is a fast moving program with plenty of tips, IE to stop chilli burn on your finger tips wipe hands with lemon before touching.
Simple stuff like how to hang chillies to dry them out and so on.
There was a good section on cooking with spice.
For someone with basic kitchen skills there was a good few tips to be had.

Speaking for myself I totally enjoyed a sunday morning of this TV given the option of whats on the other sides like how to make puff bl##dy pastry etc...

Don't knock it till you view it!

Is anyone else getting odd euro signs and accented letter "a", in this post?
[/quote]

Edit... And thats gone and blown my theory out of the water. ::)

I seem to have gone full circle...
Whilst going off topic on another of my own posts today I referred myself back here.
I babysat a base for as good as 3 hours today inclusive of prep time peeling approx 4kilos of onions and added the aforementioned Garam masala.
Something was nagging in the back of my mind but I still went ahead with the addition instead of the Rajah curry powder.
To cut a long story short I have chucked the lot down the sink.

The best way I am looking at it is that at least I am beginning to tell a worthy base against a ruined one, when I started I would of probably swore blind it was the best base in the world and I would not better it!  ???

It was not the base at fault but definitely the Garam of which has also been binned.
Thanks for your advice lad's, lesson learnt.
