January 15, 2013, 04:29 PMQuoteCould either of you (Secret Santa, Steve Jet) tell the rest of us what you hope to achieve by trying to drive out an interesting and thought-provoking newcomer to the forum ? One who actually /works/ in a British Indian Restaurant, to boot ?
Phil, folk are asking genuine questions, unfortunaltly BB1 is getting ruffled up, cant find his post's, want's his own page! well the sites easy enough to search, someones question is easy to answer,
whats wrong with that? No ones asking him to sling his hook,

As he said "If people prefer their big pot of bland yellow water then move on don't bother me with mine... "

quote from JB
I think that says it all!
QuoteWas it better than my usual curries using my prefered Little India Base sauce? No I don't think so.That's not a criticism,it's just that I'm more than happy with the curries I produce, this gives me more or less the same result albeit in a slightly different method.

Hi haldi, trust your well,
Im glad you tried the cucumber it does and has made a big improvment to my base's and final dish's, Nice to hear it's made an improvment your way too, Ive been looking into asian cucumber's you see at most asian supermarket's they are pretty big so im going to try one next week, well i have Dave Loyden's book but havnt got round to even open the first page, but yes thank's for trying the cucumber it may set the direction for a lot of base's, As i said before ive tried all manor of veg but none of them lit my candle so to speak, i just awaiting jesse's reply from australia of my base and recipe to see how that panned out.
cheer's
steve.
