What did the interview consist of - did you have cook a specific dish? Also, is it a part-time role - how will you manage to find the time alongside your other job (I'm assuming you're working full time somewhere)?

I have often wondered if we lose something when downsizing our bases. Theoretically, it shouldn't matter as long as the ratios are correct, but fair play for actually setting out to prove this, as that is a gargantuan task you put upon yourself there.

By the way, I can't imagine how mind-numbing peeling and chopping 8kg of onions must have been!

It appears he visited in April, but hasn't posted in over a year. I often wonder happened to the older members that were more prevalent in the earlier years. I imagine for a lot it's either boredom or having simply attained a quality of curry making that their happy with.

Never heard of these before. Do they taste and smell similar to garlic or is there a very noticeable difference?

Quick question: during stage 3 (tomato/spices) he adds 2 litres of water - how much did everyone add for Mick's scaled down version - 500ml?

Not tried their bhajis myself - probably due to the fact that I presumed they would be no better than other supermarket bhajis. Their naans I buy regularly though, as I find them very good.

For what it is worth I thought I would add my two-penneth to this. Been meaning to try some of these for a while (since this thread), as the butcher down the road from me stocks them.

Picked up a Balti and a Madras. They're supposed to serve 4 but that's a stretch. Taste wise they're pretty poor. I wasn't expecting much, but I was expecting them to be better than jarred curry you get in supermarkets. Unfortunately, they weren't, and at
