Thanks for posting this UF - it looks great! It's reminded me that I should have tried this recipe when it first came to my attention - so many curries, so little time!

Grow Your Own Spices and Herbs / Re: curry leaf import

No, I didn't buy the Centre's citrus feed as I already have some for my lemon tree. I'll just have to work my way through the bags of dried curry leaves until the tree matures a bit.

Looks very delicious! A nice mixed plate too - plenty of flavours and variety of textures.

That sounds like a very decent harvest! It'll be a wee while before my twig evolves into a stick lol!

I'm currently growing one of these - https://citruscentre.co.uk/products/indian-curry-leaf-plant. It's little more than a twig with leaves just now, so too small to harvest this year, but it should be good to go in 2020.

Great post! Innovative thinking at it's best!

Breads (Naan, Puri, Chapatti, Paratha, etc) / Re: Naans cooked on a Pizza stone
May 19, 2019, 08:04 AM
I haven't tried it on a pizza stone. I use a Tefal non-stick crepe pan which I heat for 4-5 minutes over my highest domestic gas burner. I can have 4 naans on the plate within 5 minutes. I hope you don't mind me saying, but using a pizza stone seems a bit of a faff when decent naans can be produced quickly and easily on the stove-top.

Pictures of Your Curries / Lamb Balti
May 12, 2019, 11:15 AM
Something tickled the back of my mind on the subject of Lamb Balti recently, and I found myself looking for a suitable recipe without quite knowing why.
I ended up on the YouTube channel of Misty Ricardo (aka rshome123, late of this parish) and found a Lamb Balti video that looked pretty decent.
I made a 4-person balti (hence the giant wok!) according to MR's recipe this morning for later consumption, and I can honestly say that it is one of the best curries I have tasted. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for something new to try, have a go at this one - it's delicious!

Cooking Equipment / Re: Homemade wood fired wok burner

Wow! Not a little effort went into that construction, but bucketloads of ingenuity and skill!
Reminds me a little of my trusty Swiss Army Volcano Cooker that I use for the fishing.

Cleary, not on the same scale, but similar functionality.
