Has anyone tried, this base?  You got to remember this came from a real curry house down brick lane who let you have a lesson for ?20, and it seems sometimes when you look at old threads they start to make more sense now as your experience grows.

This could be one to try if you have not already.

Everytime i cook up a batch of base sauce....we get what we call "THE ONION SHOWER"

The onion smell/odour seems to get into the hot water tank and comes out when you have a shower the next day making the bathroom stink of onions.....very weird.

Its the price you pay, god knows what the neighbours must smell coming from the kitchen

Just use a 400g tin, cheap as you can find from the supermarket.
