Jerry, I don't want to put you off using whatever oil you wish but have a quick look at this link about olive pomace oil http://www.food.gov.uk/multimedia/faq/pomaceoilfaq/
its a bit off putting IMO :(

Blimey! That does sound quite bad.

Fleet is a small town but there are about 7 Indian restaurants on the high street. A crap one went a while ago only to be replaced by another a few weeks later. The good ones seem to be doing a roaring trade.

If only there was a half decent fish and chip shop the area would be complete.

Slightly off-topic I know, but have you tried Ho's Fish Bar (162 Aldershot Rd, Fleet GU528JT), Chris? Heard a couple of people say it's pretty good.

Has anyone created the Tandoori marinade - or rather a scaled-down version? Just wondering what quantities of the ingredients people may have used.

This book drive me mad, as it is just so vague at times. It feels incomplete, to be honest. >:(

My understanding was that the bigger jars were exactly the same thing as the smaller ones, just larger quantities.

Is this wrong?

I've also had problems with hand blenders - not smooth enough and tend to overheat. I use a KitchenAid blender which seems to do the job okay.

Think lamb in  Daddies brown sauce and you're not far off.

LOL ;D

That is very bad. Will definitely not be giving these a go then!  ;D

Usually these things are not great, but East End are a solid brand. Not sure about the dried onion, garlic and ginger though.
