Curry Web Links / dipuraja1 - BIR chef on Youtube

Four recipes uploaded so far:
1. How to make naan dough.
2. How to make pre-cooked chicken.
3. How to make mix powder.
4. How to make chicken korma.
The Chicken Korma BIR style clip is great.
There are key similarities to Taz/Mick's recipe - but with interesting variations in ingredients and technique.
It's useful to compare and contrast the two recipes to gain insights into why they cook it like this.

Talk About Anything Other Than Curry / Re: Hilarious Complaint

Easy chaps.
People can become tetchy because of the bigotry and hatred they endured for speaking their own language.
As for bilingual road signs, you'll be seeing more of these in Northern Mill towns and the Brick Lane area of London, etc.
I doubt anyone would lower themselves to start an article titled "stupid indians."

Curry Web Links / The Cinnamon Club Cookbook - by Iqbal Wahhab and Vivek Singh

Has anyone tried this book?
I've browsed through it in WHSmiths.
It looked like something Thomas Keller would produce.
Fine dining Indian style.
What interested me most were the different bases and spice mixes.
Some of them looked, to my untrained eye, mouthwatering and original; not your average takeaway food but still good.
There's also a seafood version by one of the authors.

Talk About Anything Other Than Curry / Re: snowwwww
January 06, 2010, 04:52 PM
I'm back home and living just inside The Brecon Beacons on the Black Mountain.
It snowed heavily last night and part of today.
The snow began to thaw then the water and slush froze solid.
The ice is lethal!
More snow forecasted for tonight.
Also out of curry.
