Hi there, there are quite a few recipes for pre cooking meat, dotted around the site perhaps, I think most probably sit in this section:

https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?board=28.0

I've only done the Kushi balti which had precooked lamb, but it does add something to the flavour and helps make the meat tender, others will be able to comment more than me though

Thanks VT

I know North Wales isn't famed for its Indian restaurants, but I found a truly terrible place last night, not only for its service but more importantly its food.  Forgetting the fact that I had asked for a lamb curry (after requesting a chicken on their specials be made with lamb), if it had been nice I wouldn't have minded but what was meant to be a hot and spicy curry was truly the blandest dish I have ever tasted.  Please anyone if you are ever in the area, stay away from this place and save your money.

I see your point George but without this forum I doubt I'd have stumbled upon the book.  I've got plenty of cook books at home that have disappointed, its nice for a change to try before you buy, which I shall be.  Also if you take Abdul for example, his cooperation with the forum has been of mutual benefit for all.

Thanks for the positive comments.  I always assumed that when you ordered a meat curry (which Ive seen a few times) it was made with beef (or meat that wasnt lamb anyway!!)
