Made this recipe tonight, using chicken.  Very tasty. Thanks again for the recipe... will be making this again.

Wrapped in hot roti bread with tomato, onion, fresh coriander, garlic mayo AND the tahini sauce.

Made a scaled down version of the tahini sauce, but added a little ketchup, worcestershire sauce, chilli sauce, sugar, and extra lemon juice.  Made it more tangy to compiment the garlic mayo. Delicious.

The garlic mayo I made from regular mayo, but mixed in some garlic powder, and added a tadka of finely chopped garlic in olive oil.  Also delicious.

This recipe would be even better with Lamb.

Hi Ghoulie, will be trying your Shawarma recipe tomorrow (chicken).  Looking forward to it. I got sidetracked today by a Jamaican so didn't get round to trying it (but that's another story).

Jerry... Yes I got the Lime powder from Pakworld yesterday, but on inspection of the packet discovered it had a Best Before date in 2013.  Took it back for refund today, but not before taking a small sample out to test (smells fine), and there's enough for you also.

Dry Kashmiri chillies... they sell them and lots of them if my vision serves me right. If not, try Continental Bazaar or FAZ opposite.  Worst case scenario... I have a fresh bag which I can share.

Trip to Rusholme sounds good... count me in.

Probably won't be cooking from scratch, but I've got a chicken Tikka Bhuna in the freezer I made a few weeks ago in the freezer, which I know is going to taste good.  Snoopy from the 'other side' came up with a new mix powder recipe which worked very well when I used in making it.

I would love that recipe MA, thanks for posting the teaser.

Come on guys, seriously this is pointless.  How about a cease fire?

MA. LC... I strongly believe you're better than this. If you met BI in real life, like I have, you'd appreciate he's a nice, honest bloke. If he says he's not using other nicknames, then I for one believe him.

Jerry,

Thanks for the reply... I use the HC tava technique also, combined with the home made Naan pad, consisting of tea towel (has to be chequered for authenticity) stuffed with old cloth.  ;)

MA... I'm mainly active on the 'other' side... Some may call it dark, some may call it light.  I do like to see what's going on on CRO, and also I'm friends with JerryM.  Infact, recently met with him, British Indian (Aussie Mick), and Alchemist for a very decent curry, and very good company.

Personally, I don't like to see all the animosity between sites/members.  Shared learning of curry cooking is the most important thing for me, and I've gained a lot from both our sites. I don't have time for any pettiness.

I tend to mainly post on one site rather than this one, but I don't feel constrained to do so.  It's just a sad aspect of human nature for people to become 'tribal', belligerent, and polarise against each other.  Perception is a dangerous thing.  I think if we all met each other for a massive curry and piss up session, we'd all get on.

Anyway, just my two pence worth from no mans land.

MA That's fantastic looking food. Wish I could take photos like that.  I'm sure it tasted as good as it looks.
