Lets Talk Curry / Re: Curry for 12 !

Hi Andy....  I too am cooking for about 15 tonight for a friends birthday.

Chicken tikka (2.5Kg) & lamb samosas (24) for starters
Beef vindaloo & chicken ceylon for mains - made 14L of base so should have enough, 2.5kg of precooked chicken and 2kg of precooked beef.
Special fried pilau
and 17 naan breads

Been preparing most of the week all ready to cook fresh today...

Good Luck !

There's something decidedly wrong with you guy's tastes if you think a single tarka'd clove of garlic can have such a profound effect on a 3kg base as you appear to be claiming - you're all barking (or super tasters)!  ;D

I used a single clove in a single portion of base and that gave a noticeable smokey garlic flavour to the base but even that virtually disappeared once blended and cooked into the curry. Something very amiss here and I'm not having it that it's just me!  :o  ;D

Gazman would you mind sending me the pdf for the glasgow base and madras...

Never tried using a glasgow base so if you and others recommend it I'd love to give it a go.

cheers

the pastry was really light with a nice crunch.. absolutely perfect.  Freinds said they were the best they had tasted :)
