Hi welcome aboard mate! I would start with one of CA,s recipes, always worked for me, use his base as well.  The vindaloo, madras, and Jalfreizi are some of my faves! Then try his pilau (with all the extra ingredients) once you,ve got some experience under your belt, deelish! Enjoy  :) :)

Hi I prefer them to be on the runny side and as such my preferences are for Madras, Vindaloo etc but I made a Garlic Chilli Chicken the other day for the 1st time and that was drier (is this usual? only 200ml base) which is what the recipe (UB's) asked for and is was equally as good, so if this is haow it should be then i would stick to convention. Interestingly before i found this site most of my dishes came out on the dry side whetehr i wanted them to be or not cos i didn't know about the base technique and just cooked them for ages  :(

Hi made this last week and it was deelish, quite dryish but deelish. I probably ate half the chilli's in the first sitting and then polished them off the day later and they were really nice and soft and packed a punch!! :D

Hi made this Friday to go into a dhansak this week; it didn't survive!! It was too nice to leave so had it with UB,s Garlic chill chicken and it was deelish, the wife who doesn't "do" lentils is now a lentil holid!Got orders to do another batch today  :P  :)
