Good looking rice. Nice and fluffy. I use a mix of seasoned oil and ghee and I think the ghee adds a nice flavour. In the video it says coriander seeds, but were they not cumin seeds? I thought coriander seeds were rounder.
Hi soberRat glad you like it! Yes I've slipped up your quite right they are cumin seeds I've put the wrong caption in but now sorted cheers

Thanks Garp apparently not to phils liking he doesn't like music on them! He could mute the volume down and read the titles happen.

I think most sane people are thinking the same. Keep up the good work with the videos, Bob. I never really mastered the absorption method for rice, but yours looks nice :)
Don't be afraid to use a good knob of ghee it stops the rice sticking together.

I've now added an extra clip at the end of the video
Please note the yoghurt can be optional for those of you who would prefer it without.

No, I killed this one after only five seconds.  Perhaps someone could explain (in the "off-topic replies" thread, please) what purpose the muzak is intended to serve -- for me, it is a complete and utter turn-off, reducing what could (and should) be an educational and informative video documentary into a pointless waste of time.  Sorry, Bob, because I really would like to watch and learn from your videos.

** Phil.
That's ok Phil but I do have my reasons

Well, I'll be damned! I'm so grateful to you because I'm using windows XP right now, as I've done for many years, and I had no idea there was a free program sitting there, which could produce results of such high quality as your video. And if you produced that on an iPhone, I'm even more amazed.

I also have Vista, windows 7 and windows 8.1.   According to wikipedia, there are later versions of movie maker available for each of them, so I'll check them out, too.
Yes both are good to use but I now favour iPad & iPhone movie maker I have both! I will be posting another vid hopefully today it's my version of ghee rice.

This version was shown to me by a chef and is a firm favourite with his regulars!

Bob - many thanks for the video and recipe. Your obvious enthusiasm means I will add it to my list of must-try recipes. Your video production is good, as well. Which software or app do you use for editing and to add text and everything?
