Fresh ingredients give better results....don't overpower any dish with some of the more pungent or strong spice blends i.e. garam masala .

ASCII codes: The ASCII codes tell your IBM-compatible computer which letter you want to appear. Each character, including those with diacritical marks, has an ASCII code. The ones that will interest you are three or four digit codes that you will enter while you hold down the ALT key. For example, the code for the character ? is 130. So, you will hold down the key marked ALT. While still holding this key down you will type 130 (make sure that numbers lock is on and use the keypad to your right, not the number keys above the letters). You will then see ? appear on your screen. ASCII codes work in both MSWord and WordPerfect .

If anyone has a scanner with OCR software it would make it a lot easier to work with scanned text . An optical character recognition (OCR) program converts scanned text data from sources such as books and newspapers into editable text. The converted text can be loaded into a text editor to make any necessary corrections to the text generated with the automated character recognition engine.

I use the spices in the rice much like Darth does , however I cook the rice in the microwave...turns out perfect everytime ( much like a rice cooker only much faster & less mess )

Concur with Ray...the spices ( tarka ) should be added at the end otherwise the flavour will be far too over-powering .
