Maybe London curries are better that the ones you get up north. My only experience of a northern curry was a dhansak in the lake district which was served with a whole pineapple ring in the middle which did not thrill me at all.

I've just made this base and I'm well impressed, it's has a nice sweetness to it, it could almost be used as is for people who like mild curry or with a few additions would make a very nice soup, this will be my go to base from now on.

Hi Chewy,
Just picked up a 24cm frying pan for 8 quid from Taj Stores and my other one looks massive next to it, also
Got 3 fresh nan breads for 1.09, can't wait to test drive it. Thanks for you input.

Cheers Chewy,
I'll probably pop down Brick Lane at the weekend and pick up a 23cm version of the 1 I've got, She'll be made up with another pan. I agree your photography skills are really good.

Cheers Chewy,
The Dhansak looks spot on, not sure about the squash. What size frying pan do you use, I've got the same pan but mine is too big (26cm) and things tend to dry up too quickly. as another is under a tenner I'll get one the same size as yours.

Chewy,
Once again I've seen you latest offering and my mouth is watering, good effort, do you ever cook a dhansak is so any change of a recipe as it's my curry of choice.
