I've never eaten a BIR curry that was worse than the best I've had from a supermarket in my life.

IMHO the supermarket curries are nasty processed factory food. They may be relatively low in oil but they contain more salt than I use when cooking.

The Sainburys chicken madras is all coconut and curry leaf flavours, nothing like a BIR madras.

Maybe you are cooking them wrong Paul, try an extra 30 seconds in the microwave  :D

The thing is Chris (as I see it ::)) you seem to be stringing people along, a little bit here a little bit there.  This is a free forum with free recipes that people give free of charge for one and all to try with just a  thank you as payment, yet you are promoting a book here to sell, not as you say for the members but for "you" as "you" will profit from the book.  This in itself will get peoples backs up (rightly or wrongly I am not judging you).  The more vociferous (as proved over the years) shout the loudest and longest yet contribute little or nothing.

I came here and took what I wanted, I tried to give input, but  I gave up and now I think why bother ::).

The best thing you can do is ignore them.

If you want to sell a book and promote it here then go ahead, it isn't against any rules and others have done it.  I guarantee the next hopeful after you who comes along with an ebook to promote will get the same deal.

Yes I just watched them, I am now in Australia.

Oh make sure you turn it on before watching otherwise it will fail.  A computer restart does the trick but again start the shield before trying to access programs.

www.expatshield.com does the trick.  restart the computer after installing.  You get a few adverts sometimes before your program but works a treat. bbc iplayer, itv player etc all work.

:o a chef's spoon of chilli powder  :).  Way beyond my heat level.  Curry looks really nice but as Phil said do you find the prawns go rubbery as they are already cooked? I always use raw prawns when currying.

Nice report
