Thats nan nirvana that!

Next time I'm in the takeaway I'm going to get some of their dough and then try making it on my Tawa just to see if its the dough or the cooking technique thats letting it down.

To me nan is like base gravy in that unless its bang on the meal is no better than a sharwoods jar curry so have to get this cracked!

thanks will give that a shot, I did think missing the yeast was a bad idea.

This is the recipe I used:

300 grams of Self Raising Flour, 
1 teaspoon of Baking Powder,

apoligies for bumping an old thread but I am going to make this and wanted to check a couple things.

Everything I have read/seen says curry cooking process is oil > garlic ginger > methi > mix powder > the rest

This recipe kind of does it in reverse order, does it give a boiled rather than fryed taste ?

Also do you mean tbsp quantities as you mention only 2tsp total and that's not a lot!

I agree no need to quote a thread you are replying to. I mod a largish form and we always delete these quotes with 'unnecessary quote removed' in red.

Helps keep the database slim as well.
