Well i experimented a bit this weekend and made this tikka recipe and it ROCKS!!!I love Blades recipe but this is equally as good but different due to the star anise or fennel ( i uesd 1/2 and 1/2 as i like both) and the extra tandoori powder. The question was what to have with it? I had made CBM's Bhuna sauce the other day for the first time with the view of putting some prawns in late for the Mrs, she wasn't bothered though so i basically used it as the vegetable curry element of a biryani and made some of Chewy Tikka's rice (using shaan biryani powder - quite spicy) here with some of my frozen CA's luxury pilau, Chewy's link below: The result was a lovely curry and i was so glad i that i have tried some new recipes!! Thanks CBM, CT and Mickdabass!!!

The show that was on tonight was interesting as it showed a high profile restaurant, mumtaz, and he cooks a meal Karai  Chicken, in 7 minutes but without a base. He adds most of the ingredients, chicken, g and g, powder etc to a cold pan with no oil! He basically boils it and then adds the oil at the end and the reduces it. Comments guys?

Hi Gavin

CA's vindaloo is one of my favourites and i have just made some of CA's vindaloo paste for my next one. Not tried it yet but it may give you that extra heat you want!!
