Hi,

Its all a big play for the camera, thats all telly is
one big soap.

I dont think that much of GR or his production
team, they always bring the show down to the lowest
level possible. Even the cook along last week
had to offend.

I did enjoy his very early show but he's ott now
and any credit he did have has long since gone.

"Just a shame that 90% of chefs dont care as much as he does"
he may care about his telly food show but he did not seem to care
much about the scooter he broke in one of his "soaps"

vindalooney enjoy your cooking...
"I have to say that i like to put a lot of effort into my cooking,
and not just my curries"

Spot On  :P

For Rice.

I make a large batch about 20 servings,
cool very quickly (say 1 hour)
A flat container is best for cooling,
then pack for freezer as below.

ASAP after above
Fill sandwich bags (tescos etc) with enough
rice for 1 or 2 people per bag.

Roll up to remove air, seal with zipper on bag.

Bags seem to fit in my freezer better than box's.

To use...
just pop into micro for a 2 (or 3) min's then spread the rice
onto plate. Micro again 1 (or 2) min or more. The bottom of the
plate should be very hot and the rice steaming.

hope this help.

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Atmosphere in a BIR.

Hi

"It was a taste of India"

do they or have they
ever had red flock wallpaper
and candlelit tables in india ?
to the normal peeps anyway.

I dont like the uni-forms that some posh bir's
make the staff wear, so OTT and way back to the wars.

Some things should be left behind, some of the young
waiters have never been to india and are more
local than me

The younger staff may wish to move forward too.

sorry for being a party pooper (Sorry Mike)

respect.

I don't know if this help but in our tescos
they have two types next to each other
and can confuse...

1) Colemans Mint sauce (pre mixed for lamb etc)
2) Colemans Mint (I guess to be mixed into a sauce etc)

I use the mint only version. This does have
Vinegar or spirit Vinegar in the ingredient
but works fine for me when used in small amounts.
