Lets Talk Curry / Re: where you all ?

Hi all  ;) I agree with Terry, all knowledge is a good thing. I too have had an eye on this site but not joined, yet. I notice a few members from this site have joined another site but have not turned their back on this forum. We are all after the same thing and as with anything on the web you don't just find a site and stick with it. Thats why its called browsing. cr0 has given me a lot since I joined, and I am grateful. Long may it reign.

         ;D ;D ;D

Hi Darth  ;) Just spent an enjoyable afternoon cooking a big pot of your base and Chicken Madras. For years now I have been trying to cook my favorite Indian Curry, the Madras. Now thanks to you my friend the quest is over and its time to try some more wonderful recipes on this great site.

This truly is a curry from the dark side.

Thanks for all your hard work and continued support.

                Forever grateful.................mike..  ;D ;D

Hi Richard,  ;) I have done this and can recommend it. I used ground coriander, peeled the garlic (not too happy about grating them tho, Think I lost a bit of finger during this stage).I used a 4 litre pot which was plenty big enough for the job. I have a standard ladle that comes with a set, I think this stage is trial and error, adding it till you get the consistency required. I cooked a batch a few weeks ago and froze them. I had one tonight and it was........perfect..

By the way, welcome to the best site on the web................ ;D ;D

One of the very first curries I evermade was from a pressure cooker book. I had only just started making curries and had never used a pressure cooker before. I followed the instructions to the letter with one exception, I forgot to turn down the heat once the pot had reached its pressure. Luckily for me the pressure cooker had safety plug that melted and stopped the cooker exploding. The ingredients were welded to the bottom of the pot!!

We recently bought some tiles to tile all behind the cooker so the curry splashes would wipe away easily. So I spent a whole weekend tiling (when I should have been cooking curry) and then during the week she turns up with a 50P splashguard.

I have turned the blender on without putting the lid on. What a mess!!
