I know what you mean about spices when they're getting old, I tend to buy new every 6 months or so as they're cheap enought if you buy 100 gram packets.

How does the Heera Kashmiri Chilli Powder differ from MDH.

Chewy's for me done in a pressure cooker, I'll be making some more Tomorrow. I think it's best made with Chewy's mixed power and then used with one of his many recipes, that what I do and I'm very happy with the results.

Dhansak is my favorite curry without pineapple which is how it's served down south, pineapple seems to be a northern thing, try Chewy's recipe from the video link below which is very good, I just omit the pineapple when I cook it.
